–Zuffa Sports filed a lawsuit on Wednesday against Pavia Holdings, LLC (MMA Agents) and Bellator Sport Worldwide, LLC, and assorted John Does, claiming theft of trade secrets. The lawsuit revolves around Zuffa getting a hold of a pair of e-mails that appear to be between Ken Pavia, the head of MMA Agents and an agent with about 50 fighters, most well-known, as clients, and Bjorn Rebney, the CEO of Bellator. Both e-mails were sent on 7/4, the day after the Lesnar vs. Carwin fight. Zuffa claims Rebney wrote to Pavia, You've been great about sending us `all' of the seminal docs from the UFC, so that we can redo them and implement them for Bellator, and later asked for more information regarding how UFC uses them and Then I'm going to have our team Monday retype them and we will sufficiently alter them such that they will appear to be ours and not theirs. The suit also contains a response allegedly from Pavia saying May take 24 hours to organize and some forms go to the guys in my office. Zuffa is seeking both actual and punitive damages.
